I am a policeman and I have a very inquisitive 10-year old son who asked me about what “shoot to kill” means.
I gave his question a thought and since I have never used my service gun to shoot anyone, I had no plans of doing so unless called for. But it is a different story if my family’s safety is on the line.
I reckoned that I should have a less lethal weapon at home to protect my family members. I was considering a Taser since it is legal in my state and it is proven to be a very effective safety tool.
I can use the Taser to temporarily incapacitate and not do permanent harm on anyone. It is a less lethal weapon used only to stop an aggressor on his tracks. This gadget, when fired, shoots two projectiles at a distance of 15 feet and has the capacity to penetrate up to 2 inches thick of clothing. It can function as a stun gun in close range encounters.
When this weapon is reported on police files as one used for self-defense, you will be given a new one. However, once it is used illegally and unsupported by a police record, replacement would be denied.
The Taser C2 is a less lethal weapon than any handgun of the least caliber, but it is proven to cause temporary disability faster. It has a replaceable nitrogen cartridge that is responsible for its forceful voltage.
An intimidating type of Taser is the Taser M26C. With its laser light feature, aiming at a target is precise. It gives multiple stunning features and shoots multiple times as well.
And with the addition of a training DVD, training certificate, and metallic practice target to the M26C model, the Taser X26C is another choice. I only want to use a less lethal weapon such as any of these Tasers as a family self-defense tool.
