The big question a lot of people ask when it comes to booking up a holiday is should they do it early or should they wait. If they wait until the eleventh hour they could pick up a holiday cancellation or a special offer and get away at a reduced price. Your choice of flights will be again what is left although this could also be because they were previously too expensive. Vacation firms will have lodgings they have taken out for the whole season and in a lot of instances you may end up staying there first. This is however not always the case as sometimes vacation companies will also get additional accommodation they do not usually feature in their holiday booklets if they can get it at a good rate.
One of the main points in holding out to get a last minute deal by getting what may be named distressed stock is if there is none left. Year after year some of the holiday companies have reduced the number of holidays they plan to sell and therefore the number of vacations on offer has become less and less. In some cases the holiday companies have been able to put up prices where last minute availability is low and the demand has increased.
As long as you are flexible with where you go on vacation as well as the times and flight times you could hold out and find a bargain. If the demand is higher then the costs will not go down and you could end up paying extra. Every year is unique and sometimes if there is a lot of rain at home all summer demand is high. This can also work in reverse and good weather can make the interest in overseas holidays and costs fall.

Most likely the most significant and stunning building in Havana City is the Capitol building. A visit to this amazing estate of the art palace is something you should not miss while visiting Havana.
Few are those that know that in the land that today the Havanan Capitol is, a swamp existed, dredged and converted in the first botanical garden that had the capital at the end of the 19th century.
Neither is it known that the definitive construction the Capitol was many time delayed because its high cost on one hand; and to the political indecisions, on the other. Then, on March 1926, the construction of the Capitol began finally.
The majestic building was inaugurated on Thursday May 20, in the afternoon, with the presence of the president of the Republic and the diplomatic corps accredited in the Island in that time.
The team that participated in the carrying out of the definitive plans of the Capitol was also integrated by engineers and Cuban architects under the artistic direction and technique of the architect Eugenio Raynieri Piedra. Its total cost was about 17 million pesos, equivalent to the same quantity in dollars.
To any pedestrian, the dome of the Capitol of Havana can easily draw his/her attention, fifth in the world of Renaissance style that, for its proportions and silhouettes, it remembers to San Pedro’s Basilica, in Rome. The dome is the second higher point of the city, preceded by the Monument to Mart in the Revolution Square.

It was installed in 1929, in the room of the Lost Steps (Saln de los Pasos Perdidos). It was made by Angelo Zanelli who also used this model to sculpt the statues of the central piazza.
