As we age, we all wished to feel more youthful and young again and our only solution is with beauty products. You might think that they are expensive but they really aren’t if you know where to go.
The local pharmacy or department store often has substantial reductions on health and beauty aids during store wide sales. When this happens, buy in bulk, but make sure the products have a long shelf life and that you store them properly.
Grocery stores are starting to expand into health and beauty as well so they might start selling your brand of beauty products. For some of you, it could mean huge savings.
Remember to check out the online stores since they are all the same. Especially on accessories and refills like razor blades, the online retailers will sell them for less.
Costco will have tons of brands and carry bulk containers. You may not be used to seeing such a big bottle but you will be surprised at the prices that they sell it at and how much you are saving.
Shopping clubs for beauty products are great, because they usually know which brands are of quality and can get you a reduced price because of their bulk purchases.
Deep discount stores carry a line of health and beauty aids, but any product that is for internal use or is to be used on bruised or damaged skin, should be scrutinized thoroughly to ensure it is not from a country or manufacturer with low manufacturing standards.
Baking soda makes great toothpaste. If it is mixed into a paste with a little water, it can be used as an underarm deodorant. Mineral oil can substitute as a bath or after shower oil. You can even use a little squeezed lemon or lemon juice to scent your bath.
Sales are great for beauty products so it’s worth the wait. Since most of them have no (or long) expiration dates, you can just wait and stock up when the price is right.
Beware of buying in bulk by getting the bigger bottle. The higher the volume, the bigger the opening and the more you will end up using so be careful.
