It sucks that people in average don’t know enough about music to understand that all these songs are kind of massproduced to cater just to them.
Kind of bums me out, every time I hear someone at a party say something like “Hey, this song is really awesome!”. I just want to say out loud “You’re a fucking retard for thinking so, you just haven’t got a clue”, but instead of course I just start talking about something else instead.

There’s only 7 degrees in a scale and they’re not entirely flexible when it comes to how they relate to each other (at least to the western ear). . . only a handful of progressions really please the ear enough for people to shell out 16$ a pop for an album :p
